Moonlighting: is it good?
After hearing about the big layoffs by some of the industry giants like Meta, Amazon, Google, Twitter, etc., I got to know that some of them were due to a process called "Moonlighting". Such a fancy word! But then I did some research on it and got to know that a pretty face doesn't guarantee a good heart. With the economies and jobs becoming increasingly demanding and competitive, people might like the idea of moonlighting. As lucrative it may appear, but it also raises questions about the ethics and morals of a person. Moonlighting refers to the situation where a person undertakes a secondary work alongside their primary job. With rising prices of even the basic commodities, the desire to be financially stable/ strong is also ever increasing. Recently, several big companies like google and twitter have given quite a few layoffs. This has led to an increased sense of insecurity among the working community.
